BBQ Ribs

I tried cooking ribs this way. Didn't require much ingredients, or marinating the ribs ahead of time. Used generic store BBQ sauce and still turned out good. The ribs turned out to be tender and flavorful.

I baked the ribs for 2 hours in the morning. Then all my husband had to do before dinner was grill it. So fairly easy to make especially if you have a busy morning schedule and then company at night! Served this with roasted potatoes, butternut squash, spinach, and cornbread.

BBQ Ribs

Ingredients:
  • 2 large racks of St. Louis ribs (bought Smithfield ribs from Costco). Can also be already pre-marinated with a dry rub. Still cook the same way.
  • 4 jars of 10 oz sweet BBQ sauce (used Kroger Sweet Honey BBQ sauce)

Directions:
1) Set oven to 325 degrees
2) Cut the 2 racks of ribs in half to make 4 racks
3) Cut in between rib bones to help the sauce get evenly between all the ribs but not all the way through
4) Place 4 racks into 4 separate tin foil pieces so large enough to cover the rack
5) Liberally cover the racks with BBQ sauce-making sure the top and bottom of the racks have sauce
6) Make sure each of the 4 racks is completely covered with foil.
7) Bake for 2 hours at 325 degrees.
8) Grill ribs for 5 min on one side, and then 5 min on the other side.
9) Allow the rib to rest for 10 min before serving.
