This is my first attempt at Brussel sprouts. This recipe is amazing! I was able to prep it ahead of time, and then throw it in the oven and bake for 20 min before dinner. Highly recommend this!
Here's what I did:
- Used 2 lb of Brussel sprouts (read somewhere that you should pick smaller Brussel sprouts)
- Rinsed and chopped into halves or fourths, and put into a large bowl
- Pan fried 9 strips of bacon for 5 min
- Cut the bacon and put the bacon and bacon oil into the bowl with the Brussel sprouts.
- Added 6 tablespoons of maple syrup, and 4 tablespoons of olive oil
- Added in 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
- Tossed everything together.
- Let Brussel sprouts sit in the bowl until ready to bake
- Spread onto a foil lined pan
- Baked for 20 min at 400 degrees.
