This is a recipe that our church friend shared this great recipe with us that is a great activity to do with kids. My kids loved eating this with vegan butter or jam. I didn’t have self-rising flour, so I used a recipe from all-recipes: 3 cups flour + 4 ½ teaspoons of baking powder + ¾ teaspoons of flour. I then used 2 2/3 cups of this mixture and used the rest for scones.
Garlic
Herb No-Knead bread (~from Sarah’s
Cucina Bella)

cup self-rising flour
· 1 1/2
tsp kosher salt

dried basil
· 1 tsp
dried oregano

dried rosemary
· 1 tsp
garlic powder
· 1 clove
garlic, minced (used 2 cloves)
· 12 oz.
beer, something you'd like to drink
Instructions
1.
Preheat the
oven to 375 degrees. Spray an 8 1/2-inch loaf pan with cooking oil spray. Set
aside.
2.
In a large
bowl, sift together the flour, salt, basil, oregano, rosemary, garlic powder
and garlic. Stir in the beer until a sticky dough forms.
3.
Transfer the
dough to the prepared loaf pan. Use a rubber spatula to make sure you get it
all, and then gently flatten it in the pan.
4.
Bake for
45-55 minutes, until golden and cooked through. Cool for 10 minutes before
removing from the pan. (baked 45 min)
Notes
Don't
want to use beer (or don't have any)? You can substitute 12oz of seltzer water
or club soda in this recipe.
