York Dark Chocolate Peppermint Chip Cookies


I made these cookies using York dark chocolate peppermint chips with the recipe on the back of the bag for the holidays.

Ingredients

2⁄3 cup butter or margarine, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1⁄2 cup HERSHEY'S SPECIAL DARK Cocoa

1⁄2 tsp baking soda

1⁄4 tsp salt

1 1⁄3 cups YORK Dark Chocolate & Peppermint Flavored Baking Chips

 

Instructions

1. Heat oven to 350°F.

2. Beat 2/3 cup butter and 1 cup sugar in large bowl until creamy.

3. Add 1 egg and 1 tsp vanilla; beat well.

4. In a separate bowl, stir together 1 cup flour½ cup cocoa½ tsp baking soda and ¼ tsp salt; gradually add to butter mixture, beating well.

5. Stir in 1 2/3 cups YORK baking chips.

6. Drop by level tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.

7. Bake 8 to 9 minutes or just until set; do not overbake.

8.Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Then allow to cool completely.
